IPv6 HowTo an XG v18

Hi, ,

i have a problem with the introduction of IPv6 in various projects. Unfortunately IPV6 PD does not work, so I try to assign private networks and then route them via NAT into the WAN.
My problem starts already with IPv6 RA, this works only sometimes/sporadically. The DHCP works over the RA but the clients don't get a gateway anymore :/.
The clients are Windows 10 devices.

Is there a HowTo for stupid? I have the feeling I am missing something. If I only use the router advertisement with DHCP I had already managed that if I set the gateway statically a communication into the WAN via NAT works.

Thanks a lot :)

EDIT:

Minutes after posting this, my workstation obtained everthing as expected and is able to reach IPv6 on the WAN. :D
I dont get it, because i switched all checkbixex on and off and it wasn't working at all. It tested every possible situation.....
Crazy, but there still other XGs ith the same problem.....

EDIT AGAIN:

After Reboot of workstation again no IPv6 connectivity :(

  • Hi,

IPv6 is slow on the XG. Disable the RA active functions, just RA working and using the dhcp server. Duids do not always appear which makes static assignments difficult.

You cannot see assigned IPv6 addresses in the dhcp list like you can in the ip4 list. Also FQDNs do not work in the current XG IPv6.

    You must use a Nat.
