Hello everybody.
I already searched the community but couldn't find anything like this.
I have issues with the user authentication on IPSec VPN connections. While being connected everything works fine.
Between 45 and 55 minutes of established connection the client prompts the authentication window.
If the client types in his password the connection is lost. While aborting the authentication window the client can reconnect and everything works fine.
On the clients (Mac OS X Catalina) we use the integrated (Cisco) IPSec VPN configuration included in the network settings. While I didn't tested the case of
saving the password in the configuration, this is not a viable solution because we normally use OTP appended to the users password. So we cannot save the password.
In the firewall logs is only stated that the user successfully logged from the firewall. Is there a way of changing the timeout of the authentication?
Or could this issue be the result of an incompatibility between the Mac IPSec implementation and the Sophos one.
EDIT:
I don't see any logs regarding this issue on an azure site-to-site vpn connection.
Thanks in advance
Giuseppe
