Fiber Modules

Hi All

We have a customer who needs a fibre module to connect to their lease line.
However, looking at the Offical Sophos ones they are a very high price.

Has anybody had any experience with third-party modules, We need a 1000base-LX module and I was looking at the following as an option

    Hi,

    i purchased some of the modules from fs.com. 

    I have some SFP+ Transceivers and all are fine, the only problem is if you plug a HP in CISCO or Intel into HP ...
    The switches will all not accept these modules.

    Some need a few days, they flash the correct firmware into the SFP and send them out.

    You even can flash these SFP+ Module by yourself (i think with a rasbery Pi or a BUS Pirate 3.6).

    You could drop Anita Ye from fs.com a mail.

    I use

    2x for HP Aruba
    4x for CISCO SG350X-48P
    2x for Cheap Mellanox 10GB NIC
    2x for Intel X520

    Only problem is that the storage can´t inhale all the data (55GB/min is a SSD RAID behind).

    To add to Jurgen comment, this KB mentioned the Third-party SFP and transceivers who has been tested.
