Hi Everyone,
We have bunch of Cyberoam devices from 25iNG up to 500iNG in our HQ and branch offices. Some of these devices have active subscription (soon to be expired) and some don't.
We know best way to migrate devices with active subscription to SFOS is through CR to SFOS migration plan but for some non technical reasons we prefer to do a bare-metal SFOS install with software installer image ( for intel devices ) and then configuring them from scratch. Of course then we need to buy subscription for this devices based on CPU Core / Memory.
Now here is my question regarding this method: Does cyberoam with SFOS will be able to handle same amount of users traffic with same protections enabled?
For example we have a CR50iNG in one of our branch offices with 75 concurrent users and Web/Application policies applied to users traffic and IPS/AV scanning policies to inbound and outbound rules for servers. CPU and memory usage on this particular device is always lower than 50%. Now if we install SFOS on this device, is it gonna be able to handle same amount of traffic with same policies applied? The reason I have doubt about it is that I found new XG devices have much more resources on them than their equivalent CR devices so I suspect SFOS will need more hardware resources than CR-OS.
