18.0.2 MR-2 Release notes

Hi,

from other threads where Sophos support have been involved nothing was published. We are all waiting until around mid sept for mr-3.

I am running mr-2.

I guess I'll wait for Mr3 to be released. Shame that there is literally nothing about it.

v18 MR2 is a limited release addressing early access of IPS engine version upgrade and related changes. Sophos will soon make a broader release available with many issues resolved.

The SFOS v18 MR3 is tentatively scheduled to be released in early September.

On v18 MR2, Snort has been update to the latest version (2.9.16), since Snort 3 will be soon arriving GA (later this year), is there any chances of it being used on Sophos XG ?
