Scan Email Content - Cannot verify server identity

Hi Community,

I see this issue was raised a few years ago but didnt experience the issue on SophosOSv17 when I enabled emailed IMAP(S) scanning. 

Since upgrading to V18, I have not been able to enable scanning of email content per the below image.  This is an important function for me as I dont run individual AV scanning services.

My mail provider is TPG and I use IMAPS.

using iPhone 11 with iOS 13.6

Any ideas?

  • Hi Matt,

    My experience. You need to install the ca, then delete the imap accounts from the iPhone, power it off and on, then re-install the email accounts. Accepts the trust of the presented ca and it should work.

    I couldn't see anything on how to install the cert, assuming its a Sophos CA I need.

    Are there any KBs that have instruction for this?
