XG firewall v18: Need a good starting point to build off of

Hello everyone..

I finally got Sophos XG v18 up and running and now I could use a little guidance.  Coming from PFsense, I do have some exp with firewalls,

but I am learning sophos as I have time on my hands..

Sophos is on a test network right now with the WAN adapter on the internet and I am running 3 vlans.  Can anyone give me a solid starting setup akin to opening all internal traffic and blocking everything inbound as to create a safe starting environment and then I will work on vlan rules and adjust policies as well going forward?

Still learning Sophos, just want a solid starting point.  One that is functional to working in, yet allows me to start editing policies and creating rules while not exposing systems to the net

    Hi,

    when you built the XG a number of default rules would have been created, please review them as a basis for your next step.

    Also at the top of the forums there are a series of links to provide help. If after you have read and tried to I'm,ene those links please feel free to ask specific questions in each thread.
