While I fiddled with DNS and hostname entries on Sophos XG v18 MR1 I stopped with lots of problems!
My goal is to set the hostname for my XG to thewall and make me access the WebAdmin while typing https://thewall:4444.
To be able to reach the XG's hostname via browser I set up a static DNS entry for thewall > 192.168.25.251.
I found out, that my Windows-Clients are not able to ping the hostname, but are able to nslookup the entry from the XG's DNS.
Besides this, my Linux-Clients (incl. iOS devices) are able to resolve the hostname and even ping it!
Is there any possible way to achieve my mentioned goal in the near future? After that I would love to see my (Windows)-Clients to
import the XGs Certification Authority into the system as trusted root CA, having a secured connection.
