LoggingDaemon Dead?

Logged into firewall one day to see that is says, "LoggingDaemon" DEAD! I have not changed anything and I'm not sure why it is saying this. I restarted the XG 330 but after 1 week it is saying the same message. I don't understand why it is saying that we barely have any traffic going though the appliance, it is more than enough to handle our network. Nothing is overloaded. Only 2 Firewall Rules are Logging traffic it has never done this on previous firmwares.

Firmware Version - SFOS 17.5.10 MR-10.HF062020.1 (Was not doing this on firmware awhile ago)

  • Hello Cornerstone,

    Thank you for the follow-up!

It seems like the Garner core dumped which is basically causing the error that you are seeing in the GUI.

I would recommend you take a backup and re-image the device, your device has many core dumps though so maybe they are being caused for a high load. How many users and which modules are you using in the XG?

If you require RCA for the coredump for garner I would recommend you to open a Support Case.

    Regards,
