receiving license key

Friends,

I recently renewed my Sophos XG firewall license, the reseller company requested me remote access to my appliance and deployed the license key, then I've received the license key from their own email address, not from Sophos'. is it the proper way of sending license keys to customers?

  • Hi ,

You should always* receive a Sophos License Schedule as it serves as proof of your purchase and may sometimes be requested if you contact Sophos customer care or technical support. Where you receive it from varies by region. In some regions it is sent directly from Sophos and in other regions Sophos sends it only to the Reseller and they should pass it on to you.

*The exception to this is if you are buying cyber-security services from a Managed Service Provider in which case they are the licensee of the product and your contract will be with the MSP and not directly with Sophos.
