Configuration not sent

Hi,

I have and issue with Sophos Firewall Manager which sometimes doesn't send configuration on our devices, even if it says it did.

This is not the case with every device we have, and it seems pretty random.

Some configurations are sent, some are not.

This includes firewall rules, hosts and services and pretty much everything.

One good example is when we wanted to update admin password on every device and we did so using SFM. Event viewer was saying that sending the configuration was a success, but we had to use our old password on half of our device when we checked a few days later.

Now it is pretty much the case every time we try to update something or add a new host...

If there is a delay, it is pretty huge since we are talking about days after configuration was send (with success) by Sophos Firewall Manager.

Do you guys have an idea ?

    Hi

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Please confirm the synchronization mode that your XG devices are configured and are connected/sync in SFM? What is the firmware version on your SFM and XG firewalls?

Are there any errors in the Management System Event Viewer in the SFM Template entity? Check the configuration for the failed entity displayed in the event viewer.

If configuration is pushed from Device configuration than provide the below logs from Advance shell:

    • /log/ccc/OpCode.log for Push Mode
    • /log/ccc/system.log for Pull Mode
    • Check /log/tomcat.log and /log/csc.log in XG firewall

    Thanks,
