x86w - SSL VPN only able to ping SOME hosts

Good evening folks. I've now spent hours trying to change every possible configuration and this topic has been discussed quite a bit and I read every word. I now turn to you. I have an XG Firewall appliance x86W with firmware v18. I've created a VPN with the settings you see below. I've downloaded the config file and client on my remote laptop and connect to an LTE hotspot to test the VPN connection. Long story short, I am able to ping an IP camera and log into it. This camera is wired to the LAN. I also have a PC wired to the LAN and have created a test folder share on this PC. I can NOT ping or connect to the PC and it's driving me nuts. LAN subnet is 192.168.1.0 /24 and I am using the VPN subnet of 10.81.234.5 - 10.81.234.10.

I have no issue connecting, but no matter what I do, I cannot ping the PC's on the LAN. What am I doing wrong here???

  • Hello Anthony,

Thank you for contacting the Sophos Community.

Have you tried disabling the Firewall in the computer you are trying to Ping, most likely it is the local Firewall that is blocking the ping as this is not coming from the same subnet.
