WAN on Port1

Hello,

I have an server with SOPHOS XG installed and normally the WAN is on Port2. Because I have no Physical access to the machine I can't switch the cable to that port I already talked with the server provider if they can do it sadly that's not an option.

I have access to console over the Serial port but I can't get to the web interface and I can't even activate it because of the problem.

Is there an way to get the Port1 work as the WAN port over the CLI? I Googled 3 days now don't know what to do I found the link_failover option but at the point where I need to specify an tunnel I can't find anything online again.

Hi,

is your device a VM server if so you can switch it in the VM console. If ti is a physical XG how many ports does it have.

I have installed the ISO on an Physical server.

It seems like it has 2 Ports. The first port is connected to the Network.

Hi,

so what you are saying is the ports are reversed? When you look at the ports in the console what do you see and you should be able to change the ip addresses on the ports from the console.

Yes that's right.

I changed the IP address manually and tried to obtain it from the DHCP but even if I add the gateway and all of that I can't ping anything. I already thought about that he needs something to be added to the route list
