Initial install - password?

I successfully installed XG on a PC as instructed.  After reboot, screen comes up "Starting 17_5_`1_664...." and ends with"Password:"

Nowhere can I find what password to use, and the instructions are useless.

The instructions seem to imply that I should ignore the request to enter a password on the screen and (very un-obviously) instead connect a second computer to one of the two network jacks and connect using https://172.16.16.16:4444/

Is it really true that I can't proceed on the machine itself, but need to connect another computer and connect thru it?  If so, how do I know which network jack to use?  Why are the instructions not clear on why I need a second computer to simply set up the firewall?

    May have the link to the instructions you are following?

    The default password is admin

    You need to go to https://172.16.16.16:4444 in your web browser to start the configuration if you are asked to enter some credentials they are User name = admin Password = admin.

    You don't need to use a second machine, you only need to plug your laptop to the Port1 of the XG, set your computer in DHCP and you should get an IP in the subnet 172.16.16.X then you should be able to type https://172.16.16.16:4444 and configure the Firewall.
