how to improve the connection VPN (tunnel)?

just I want to sure
I created a VPN connection to connect the different offices to head office
but in this office when connecting through program 'Sophos VPN client ' we face the problem, the internet was so slow, and can't browse well
I thang the problem here, we need to turn off the tunnel but I am worried if that effecting on connection or sending data from branch to other?
if there is another way to improve the connection in branch?
I followed this instruction to create VPN

    Hi  

    The screenshot indicates that you have configured a full tunnel SSL VPN. It means all the traffic from the remote user will use the XG firewall as a gateway. 

    Is this your required configuration? If not, you can disable the option "Use as Default Gateway," so only traffic to the permitted network(Local Network) will use the SSL VPN tunnel, and the internet traffic will use ISP. 

    Note: This change requires a new configuration; users have to re-download the configuration form the User Portal.
