Just for clarification, XG home works with SCFM, but only retains logs for 7 days?
Does this replace Central for XG or is it a more targeted management just for firewalls. I logged into Central, but didn't like the fact that I couldn't hide / turn off product menus for items I don't have.
I'm back and forth between Untangle and Sophos XG atm in trying to decide what to roll with. Untangle is a nice product as is XG. My criticism of Untangle like pfsense folk is they're quick to shout down the other vendors offerings. The recent SQL exploit, every time Sophos is mentioned it comes up..
I'm also tempted to wait until MR1 for V18 lands, but then getting hands on with a product is always a good thing.
Untangle is faster re traffic throughput out of the box compared with Sophos, but then it's the tuning and setup work that takes the effort etc.
