Sophos as a gateway to two networks

I have XG connected to my 192.168.0.0/24 network, with IP 192.168.0.1, as protection with internet access.
I would like to configure my XG as protection with internet access for my 172.16.0.0/16 network, today I already have an XG interface I have connected to my 172.16.0.0 network,
with ip 172.16.0.180.
Would it be possible on my 172.16.0.0/16 network to go online via XG? Thank you

Hi José Manoel Galvão de França1,

Do you have a DHCP server configured on the XG firewall on the interface with a 172.16.0.0/16 network? Could you please post a screenshot of your network interface configuration?

    Thanks,

  • Hello H_Patel,
I do not have DHCP for this network, manual IP configuration, as I have few computers on that network.

I have a cable that connects the Sophos A3 interface to an HP switch on the other network ...

    Thanks for answering

  • Hi José Manoel Galvão de França1,

It is possible to protect networks that are configured on the LAN interface of the firewall with LAN to WAN firewall rule and Advanced security settings.

If the XG firewall does not own the network, then you have to configure static routes to point traffic from that network to the XG firewall and configure LAN to WAN firewall rule.

    Thanks,
