Microsoft Edge Sync

Hi,

I have started rolling out Microsoft Edge but for some reason Edge sync is not gettign through the firewall and our support company cannot find a solution.

I can't see anything being blocked but the sync service in Edge just says cannot connect.

If I enable a firewall policy for the PC in question and allow everything through it starts working.

I've allowed all the Azure sites through already.

I can't work out how to diagnose this, I've looked at Wireshark and can't see anything obvious. Is there a way on the XG box I can see what's going on? Like I say.. there is nothing being blocked that I can see.

  • Hi,

do you have decrypt and scan enabled for the firewall rule? You might find that the application does not like decrypt and scan which will not show as an error in the XG logviewer.

You will ned to add some exceptions to scanning.

  • Hi,

We can't find what to add to the exceptions to get it to work.

We've added all the Microsoft and azure services already to no avail.

  • Hi,

please post a copy of the firewall rule that the traffic is going through and you MS exception list.

I suspect if you search the forums you will find an updated list from another user.
