XG115 with SFOS and issues with iPhone connecting to WiFi

Hi team,

just upgraded to the XG115w and have gone for a clean build with SFOS 18 GA-Build379.  I have everything up and running but can't seem to get two issues resolved with iPhone connectivity

a) I have a Mac and PC connecting to the wifi fine and access the internet, but the iPhone barely connects, doesnt get an IP and drops off.  If I manual configure it connects to the wifi but can't access the internet

b) if I enable IMAP scanning in the firewall policy it doesnt recognise the mail server and I dont receive email - keep getting a message pop-up

I have spent many hours on this now and was wondering if anyone else is having similar issues.

  • Exactly Keyur.  Mac has DHCP lease and PC has Static address, both have stable wifi connections and can access the internet.  The iPhone attempts to obtain address and can’t connect to the internet on the same SSID.

I have now booted back into v17 and all works fine.   Slight different firewall config, as in Bridge mode.

  • Hi,

to fix the mail scanning issue you will need to install the XG CA on the iPhone.

What address does the iPhone obtain when it attempts to connect?

What model iPhone and what IOS is it running?

  • Thanks Ian, I will try that.  Is there a KB on this.

Re iPhone, it is self assigning to a 169.x.x.x, the usual when it can’t find DHCP server.  It’s happening on two iPhones that I tested.
