No Firmware Available

After this last hotfix to fix the SQL injection issue and after our mandatory admin password change, we can no longer download updated firmware.

We get "no records found" under firmware version and clicking check for new firmware gives a message saying no firmware available. I know it is since we're still on MR7 and MR8 on various devices.

This is on EVERY one of our devices and nothing else has changed.

  • Same issue here on around 100 devices running 17.5.9, before the hotfix pretty much every device had available FW updates.

Not a critical issue in our case, as we are still having to test and verify MR12 extensively. We will just have to deploy manually I guess.

  • I wouldn't mind doing that necessarily if I knew it would fix the problem for subsequent firmware updates.

I've talked with 3 other MSP's and theirs is doing the same thing on hundreds of units. Not a single one has received an answer back from support about it. You look here in the forum and from what I can tell, this is the first post concerning this issue.

I find that almost statistically impossible.

SFOS v17.5 MR12 and SFOS v18.0 GA-Build379 are currently in the first stage of release and are available via manual download from the MySophos Licensing Portal. These versions will gradually be released and made available via auto-update to all customers.

  • The answer is actually quite simple.

Since all the pre MR12 releases have the bug for SQL injection they have been removed from the repository. The next MR will be 12 that have the fix for the SQL injection built in. And since it is in phase one of the role out, you can only manually download and install it.

It will be on the XG devices automatic when they go in to the next phase and start the role out to the firewalls.

And the same goes for Version 18.
