How to authenticate Terminal Server Session through webclient/captive portak

Hi,

is there a possiblity to authenticate terminal server sessions via captive portal/webclient?

e.g. User A is logged in a terminal session but has no privilege for internet access. That means when user A starts the internet browser in the terminal session and tries to reach www.google.de he should get the captive portal/webclient, because he has no rights. But User B should be able to use his credentials for the webclient/captive portal in the terminal session of user A and should be able to surf.

I tried it and i am getting the webclient/captive portal but after logging in i am getting the log in mask again and no internet access. SATC is installed and configured.

Is this issue noticed on only Google Chrome or any other browsers as well?

If users are trying to authenticate using Google Chrome, I would request you to check this KB Article : Sophos XG Firewall: Unable to authenticate via SATC when using a Google Chrome browser and see if this helps.

thanks for your reply. This issue is noticed on Internet Explorer. That is the only Browser we have installed on Terminal Server.

Could you please post screenshot of the firewall rule?

Have you configured firewall rule to show captive portal to unknown users?
