"Control center" Under-reporting Connected Users

Because so many of our users are connecting remotely, I have been keeping tabs on the number of users currently connected to our VPNs.  This morning, I noticed the number was much lower than expected on our main firewall, so I clicked through to see who was connected and try to determine if there was some larger issue going on.  When I clicked through, it showed many more connections; roughly the number of active VPN connections that I would have expected for that time of the morning.  We have an XG firewall at another site, so I checked there; same under-reporting issue.  Today is the first time I have noticed this issue; if it has been an issue before, the count has always been close enough to not seem off.  Has anyone else seen this?

Here are screenshots from our smaller site.

    Hi

Thank you for reaching out to the Community!

Are you having issue with the live user count from the control central and Remote user count under Current Activity?

Is the number of live user always remains 1 or it does change after you refresh the page?

    Thanks,

  • Correct, the discrepancy is between the live user count from the Control Center and and the Remote User Count under Current Activity.  For that firewall, it stays at 1 even after I refresh the page.  I note that I have a second firewall, with more remote users, that has also been under-reporting all day.

  • We have a similar issue in 18.0.1 MR1 - Dashboard this week is always showing one user less than listed in Remote Users tab.

But we already had a case last week showing 3 in Dashboard vs 9 in Remote Users Tab.
