Using SFM for XG Firewall Backup

You can configure SFM to take backup of managed firewalls, SFM acts as a backup repository for device backups.

When you try to restore backup taken from the SFM to XG firewall, it will not require encryption password. 

No there is no option on SFM to push encryption key password to XG firewalls.

Just so i am clear. Are you saying that even if the firewall itself has an encryption password set on backups that if we then configure the backup afterwards via SFM that the backup file generated will NOT require the previously defined encryption password?

Simply want to ensure we are understanding this important process correctly.

Hi Adam Rippon 

Yes, If you have backup file taken from the SFM, you do not require encryption password when you try to apply it on the XG firewall. 

I just replicated this in my LAB XG firewall running with SFOS 17.5.11 MR-11.
