SFOS 18 - SID on RED only

Hi all

We have here a XG210 box with SFOS 18 latest release.

We successfully configured the RED15w box and the cable based connections are working fine.

 

We try to configure a dedicated WLAN SID for this RED box only, the SID is show on the remote place, clients can connect but they didn't get an IP.

We configured the RED in standard / splitt mode and also configured a DHPC range on that network.

 

Any idea how to get an IP over WLAN on the remote place?

    Hi  

    In order to use wireless network form RED15W you have to register the builtin access point on the XG firewall. 

    Could you please confirm if Magic IP 1.2.3.4 is allowed in split network? The builtin AP connects to Magic IP of 1.2.3.4 on port 2712 and than appears on the GUI of the Sophos Firewall in the Pending list.

    Thx for your feedback. The problem is not, that the SID's are not showing on the RED site. The RED AP is showing perfectly on the XG.

    Other SID's can be deployed to the RED without problems.

     

    After some testing, i realised, that the zone need to be WIFI for this new SID and then it's working fine.

    Only the performance of the Wireless LAN is poor, but i guess this is related to the hardware (RED)
