How to Block Mail Attachments

Hello,

We want to block all In-Going File Extensions except ".pdf".

But whatever I do, it doesnt work. We still receiving Mails with any extensions.

Here is a Screenshot of my SMTP Rule:

Is there anything else I can do?

Thank you, but your Article describes how to Block Outgoing Attachments. But we want to block external Mails with Attachments other then .pdf

Could you please provide more details on the email communication flow?

Are you accessing the email using POP/IMAP?

Where is the mail server hosted?

Are you accessing mail over the web portal?

We are Hosting our own Exchange Mail Server behind the Sophos Firewall

We are using the Sophos in MTA Mode and routing the Mails then to our Exchange.

The Sophos is used to manage the email traffic. (Spam Filter, Whitelisting, AntiVir Engine for pop3 etc)

I hope its clear now.

If you need to see any Settings / Screenshots I can provide them to you.

It was my Mistake. My External Mail Adress was on the Whitelist. That was the reason why the Mime FIltering didnt work.
