Switch from UTM to XG with AP55 and AP50

Hi there,

at the moment I have runing a UTM 9.701 with two AP's (AP55C and AP50). Now I will switch / test a XG.

What is the best way to come not in trouble with the two AP's ? Should I first delete the AP's on the UTM ?

The UTM should still work again later, at the moment I only want to test how all works with the XG

Hi,

delete them from the UTM, they will pickup new software on the XG and I can't remember what happens when you return to the UTM whether the software downgrades to the UTM version or requires some form on manual intervention. The APs will take some time to register on the XG around 10-15 minutes.

thanks for the fast answer. I will delete them first or test it first with one.

I am a little bit frightend to switch completly to the XG ...
