Problem with Sophos Connect in macOS Catalina

Whenever I open Sophos Connect from my Mac with Catalina 10.15.3, it shows Service unavailable, Please ensure the VPN service is Running.

I've tried to reinstall Sophos connect both putting the .app in the Bin and using uninstaller.sh file in /Library/Sophos Connect. Neither worked.

I also can't generate the technical support report and see the version of the app as shown in the image.

Sophos Connect is perfectly working on another machine with macOS 10.13.6

Am I the only one?

  • I am have the same issue with a client on a MAC. They are using the Sophos Connect client that is compatible with Catalina, but after install it immediately tries to connect and you are unable to import a connection. I tried the terminal way to uninstall it and it just states that command cannot be found. Unlike the person above though I am unable to use it on any account on this MAC, the same action occurs no matter who is signed in.
