Setup A Static IP on XG310 for Management

Our production firewall is an XG310, but we also have an SG310 as a backup.

On the backup, I have setup routing and firewall rules in case something happens with the production firewall. In an emergency I can unplug the LAN and WAN cables from the prod XG and plug into the backup SG.

I would like to have a static IP assigned to another port on the backup SG that I can use for configuration and firmware patches. How do I go about setting this up?

Thank you.

  • tripleview,

you can configure an unused port on XG, configure an IP address and put into LAN or create a new zone. If you create a new ZONE, make sure to enable HTTPS management checkbox for the new zone under Administration > Device Access.
