Clientless Access VPN session size

We have a Sophos XG 450 rev. 2 unit.  We utilize the clientless access VPN portal for our end users to remote desktop to their computers.  We might have to require many users to stay home and work in the very near future.  We are curious how many simultaneous VPN sessions the XG450 rev2 could handle at one time?  I have personally seen it handle 8 VPN clients at a time but this would be somewhere around 40 or 50 at one time.  Does anyone know how much bandwidth is utilized by a single session?  And if an XG 450 rev2 would handle that many sessions from a performance perspective.  This information would help me greatly in these difficult IT service times.  Thank you all!

  • Thank you for this information.  So the first 100 would connect but the 101st would get rejected?  We won't get to that amount, but I am interested in 40 or 50.  Any idea how much bandwidth per session?  We do use SSL VPN for IT staff, and our power users would be fine with SSL VPN but some end users have been confused by the SSL VPN a bit.
