DHCP not working after setup

I've installed sophos xg on several machines. Two intel based machine only one of which would work after many re installs and facotry resets. And on an APU2 board. The one that worked took a while but DHCP always seemed to work it may have been a rule or policy thing. On the other Intel machine and the APU2 board DHCP will just not work. Out of the box you should be able to connect to LAN and get to https://172.16.16.16:4444 but it never works. Even setting my machine static and the NIC saying theres a connection and being able to ping the sophos machine I still can't get to the initial setup page. I don't know all the details of my hardware but the computer I did get it to work on is a dell optiplex thats about 7 years old vs the other two machine that fail only being about 2 years old. Bryond frustrating. I'm just looking for advice because others are able to get this working on similar if not the same hardware. thanks

  • Do you have a keyboard / Monitor access to this XG?

Could you verify, which Ports are considered as PortA/1?

Connect to the XG via Keyboard, enter password (admin/admin), go to Advanced Shell (5 - 3) Press: ifconfig   - Look at the Interfaces. Notice the Packets / Transferred Packets. Use ethtool Port(1/A) to verify, the interface is connected. Use tcpdump -ni PortA/1 to check, if the Interface actually getting Traffic.
