An error was found in the MIB:

There are also many objects missing from the snmp get, even after adjusting the MIB. Returns an object not found error:

Any idea?

  • Well that's frustrating. Recently purchased LogicMonitor and was really happy about the monitoring for XG. Applied the update to 18 last night and now quite a few things are missing, just coming back with no data. Sorry Sophos but this just seems lazy. Don't you guys have a lab environment somewhere where you test things before pushing them out?? I would imagine there would need to be some internal monitoring of lab devices using snmp. How was this overlooked?

  • Following will be addressed in v18 MR4.

    • SFOS-FIREWALL-MIB::sfosMemoryCapacity.0 = Gauge32: 1 [ wrong Capacity]
    • SFOS-FIREWALL-MIB::sfosMemoryPercentUsage.0 = Gauge32: 100 [most of the time if responds with 100%]
    • In sync memory usage between Dashboard and SNMP.

    For CPU usage one can use: HOST-RESOURCES-MIB::hrProcessorLoad

    Currently sfosSmtpService/sfosSSHdService status does not show correct value, will try to solve in v18 MR4.

  • Is there some technical reason these were changed/broken to begin with?

  • Hi Alok, I found a page presenting a web interface with an overview regarding the hardware you can see if you connect to the management port of the firewall. Are we ever going to get these infos via SNMP? I am talking about hardware health status: - temperature of all sensors given - fan speed and status (running, low speed, etc) - disk health (SMART values, predictive failure, etc) One of my specialties is monitoring and I would love to have a closer look on the hardware... Thanks for your help in advance, Markus
