QoS logic

With this scenario:

I configure a QoS rule for a firewall rule (port open for a server that requires it) (WAN->LAN) and I configure the QoS with a limit of download and upload.

Download means from WAN to LAN? or viceversa?

Do I need to create a specific rule for this port and host from LAN to WAN and apply a QoS rule as well?

I am a little bit confused in terms of bandwidth what means Download and Upload in a WAN->LAN rule and LAN->WAN rule for the same service.

Why do you need to configure a QoS on a DNAT rule? For the LAN to WAN rule, Download would definitely mean traditional download (from WAN to LAN traffic rate). I've never used it in DNAT so let me check with a test machine.

I am in V18 so is a firewall rule to open a port to internet then associated to a NAT rule.

I did it because there was data being quantified in this rule so I though it would required a QoS rule as well.

If you're using v18 (which is still an EAP program) you should post the questions in SFOS v18 Early Access Program group.

it doesn't matter if I use v17 v18 QoS doesn't change, I have a similar configuration in both versions.

In EAP, there can be some unknown issues. That's the only reason I asked you to post there.
