XG fwlog.log empty except for NOTICE:

Question

Hi all, I've set up an XG with a few different firewall rules, and set them to log. The log viewer acts as expected, showing allows and denies for the rules I selected to log. When I go to the console and attempt to look at the fwlog.log file, the only message in the file is: "NOTICE: Netlink socket buffer size has been set to 8388608 bytes." This message is repeated a few times, without timestamps. Any clue as to what's causing this and why I'm not getting any logs from my firewall rules? 
 Current FW is SFOS 17.5.5 MR-5

There is a "live" feature to look at the live dropped packets, called Drop packet capture.

 But there is no Log file, which actually print all this stuff into one file. 
 You could easily build this by yourself, if you want, but actually i do not see the need in using this as a file.
