DHCP is not working in bridged WLAN to LAn

Hello,

I have inital configured my Firewall, especially the WLAN to Bridge, on this documentation (https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/122789)

The problem is that I didn´t get an IP lease when I´m connected via WLAN. In LAN everything works fine, every new connected device get an IP Lease and could communication with the other devices. When I use static IP address the communication in the bridge betwenn WLAN and LAN works also.

I use the DHCP Server which is integrated in the firewall.

Has anyone an idea what configuration is wrong or missing?

  • Steffen,

if your device is getting an IP in the LAN from XG and then the device moves to Wi-FI, check this option as the dhcp server will not lease a new ip to a device that already has an ip in another dhcp pool, unless the lease expired.

    From console:

    system dhcp static-entry-scope show

Change to global and try again.

    Regards
