Firewall XG v18 performance using own NUC Zotac C1323

Hi Everybody,

Just a question. i'm using Sophos Home Firewall XG v18.x on a own NUC (Zotac C1323, Intel N3150 quad-core 1.6GHz, up to 2.08GHz, SATA HD). I'm using DPI, Webfiltering and scanning traffic using HTTP and HTTPS (not scanning encrypted traffic, because of some issue's with Apple's macOS Catalina's certificate demands). I've got an 1 Gbit Fibre internet connection.

Speed test indicate that if the Zotac is scanning traffic with the above options the speed is about 300 Mb/s so about 30 % of the internet connection speed. Now, the benchmarks aren't as super (CPU Benchmark net states about 1666 points for this CPU) but i would realy want to know what CPU must be used (or NUC) to get full-performance troughput (1 Gb/s)with the firewall (using all protection rules for scanning traffic). CPU hits are about 100%, memory is about 80%. Disable the filtering does improve the troughput (about 600-700 Mb/s)

Can anybody say something about his or her experiences with hardware configs? So which NUC is suitable or what are the minimum CPU specs? Does a SSD has any effect on performance improvement (troughput)?
