RED15w no Access Point on XG

I have two RED15w connected to a XG230 with the exact same symptoms

No - no firmware patterns listed as available.

Did as instructed in the awed.log files and deleted them from the GUI, and now they are not re-appearing.

Sophos XG: SFOS 17.5.12 MR-12

Sophos RED: 3.0.002 Unified

AP Firmware: 11.0.012

This line repeated in /log/awed.log

[Axxxxxxxxxxx] Corrupt payload. Device may have wrong key. MD5 of the key is ac9a559f9f295c3297ff5ba5fe42766e. Delete device to re-register it.

Also, I have a couple of AP10 and two brand new SD-RED20 with the wireless expansion working just fine.

Please try to reboot the affected RED device and run a packet capture on IP address 1.2.3.4 and if you do not see any traffic, log a support case for further investigation and provide the case number via PM.

I'm running a split RED setup. Do I need to include 1.2.3.4 in the tunneled net?

Yes, you have to add the 1.2.3.4 magic IP in the split network to register inbuild wireless.

I've added it to the spilt definition but am not seeing any traffic.

Still waiting for a person on-site to reboot the RED

The AP has been rebooted. No difference

Tonight I'll try to change it from split to standard/unified to see if that makes a difference.

Tried adding 1.2.3.4 in the split defintition. No difference

Tried changing it to unified. No difference.

Later i'll try to remove the RED entirely and re-add it.

Removed the device entirely and re-added it seems to have solved the problem

it's now listed as active and tomorrow I'll get on-site confirmation that it works.
