Bad Wifi Performance X85w and apx120

Hi Together,

I have an Internet Commection with 400Mbits Download. This is working over Wifi from the Original ConnectBox from Unitymedia. With my iPhone and Speedtest.net i get the Full 400Mbits

Now i want to use an XG86w and two apx 120 to expand my wifi Range.

The Problem is i have very poor Download Rates. Between 70Mbits and 100Mbits

Wifi is configured in 5Ghz and all Security Features Are disabled. No IPS no AV.

Is the Sophos Hardware so bad? Is an simple ConnectBox realy better?

Do you have any Ideas to fix this?

Do you use 80 mhz on the APX?

Can you post your AP Configuration?

Did you disable 2.4 to force the Client into 5.0?

I think it is 40Mhz and yes i disabled 2.4Ghz.

Do you think it is the Right Setup? What is faster the XG86w or the apx120?

80 mhz can be selected and should improve performance with clients, which supports this.

Try disabling the XG 86w from broadcasting SSID's as a test. The APX should have better throughput (external AP's always do as a general rule).

Try to setup Bridge to LAN instead of separate zone as that has less overhead.
