Virtual Switch on XG230 with multiple interfaces connected as bridge?

Question

Guys, 
 is it possible to do a "bridge" between many interfaces? 
 I was using competitors product and something as virtual switch was possible for having firewall appliance as "core switch". 
 How many interfaces can I bridge to get similar functionality. This "brigde" is more by definition of bridge in networking or more as name for functionality of virtual switch? 
 I need to connect about 16 switches under XG230 to create L2 network and avoid to create LAG group via another external switch. 
 Switches behind will be tagged with VLAN ID. The functionality is very simple to forward the traffic to WAN interface.

I do not like such deployments. Bridging is possible. As far as i know even with 16 Interfaces. 
 But - right now - XG can only act as a bridge but not route between vlans.

 You have actually the possibility to scan and do stuff with the traffic, but you cannot place X VLANs on top of the Bridge and route between VLANs. 
 That is a limitation, should be possible in V18. 
 But if WAN is on a separate interface, this setup should work in v17.5
