Issue in BGP

1. We have two WAN IP from ISP for load-balancing by using rules.

2. Both the WAN IP came with a IP pool which we are used for publish any of our
internal servers,VPN etc. Those IP pool only active by BGP. But in SOPHOS we
have able to configure BGP with one WAN IP gateway.

3. But the main issue is we are configure two WEN IP fore lode balancing. But when we
set any gateway in BGP all the traffic go through that gateway only. It didn't
follow any rules. And when WAN link which gateway in BGP is down the couplet
internet is down but the other WAN link is up.

It only work when we put the other WAN in backup link in gateway management. But
we didn't want that we want load-balancing by using rules.

PLease help us how to resolve the issues

  • I am not quite sure about this. Support should look into it  .

But maybe this issue is caused by the a invalid configuration in BGP itself.

  • I guess, you cannot select any interface on XG as WAN. You would have to work with a XG without any WAN interface and push the default routes via BGP. Afterwards, it should work.
