Sophos XG210 WAN and SIP Capabilities

Hi Sophos Team,

I would like to seek your advice regarding the capabilities of the Sophos XG 210 in a real world scenario:

Current Setup:

1SP (1GBps) >>> Mikrotik CCR1036 >>> Sophos XG210

  • Main Office = 30 Users
  • Branch Office 1 = 5 Users
  • Branch Office 2 = 2 Users

Mikrotik CC1036 Setup:

  • 1 ISP
  • Cisco 2811 for VOIP/SIP – DHCP is enabled for VOIP Phones
  • EOIP Tunnel to Branch Office 1 - Another Mikrotik router
  • Sophos XG210

Sophos XG210 Setup:

  • Firewall, SSL VPN, L2TP VPN, MTA
  • Also connected to a RED Device in Branch Office 2

We will be adding a Secondary WAN, 200Mbps for Failover.

I was advised from another community forum that the Sophos XG210 is not “breaking a sweat” with our setup.

Can I move everything from the Mikrotik Router to Sophos XG210 plus add a Secondary WAN for Failover?

New Setup for the Sophos XG210 (Main Office):

  • ISP 1 – 1GBps
  • ISP 2 – 200MBps (WAN Failover)
  • Site to Site VPN to Branch Office 1 (Needed for Data and VOIP)
  • RED connection to Branch Office 2
  • Cisco 2811 for SIP/VOIP
  • Firewall, SSL VPN, L2TP VPN, MTA

I am worried about putting everything in XG210 plus the connection to our old Cisco 2811 for SIP.

I am hoping to get some insight if we are to remove the Mikrotik Router and add another WAN connection, can our Sophos XG210 handle everything?

Thank you very much. Any advise or recommendation is very much appreciated.
