Sophos xg home Web interface

After replacing my hard drive with a sd drive & restored my backup. Things seemed to work ok until a couple hours later I can't access the web portal (service unavailable) or console via putty, If i reboot I will be able to gain access again. am i Missing some thing. I should also note that the rules and configuration are still being enforced.

Hi yardiman

Please make sure that SSD drivers are compatible with the virtual platform where the Sophos XG home edition is installed.

Please provide us with the screenshot of the console when the web portal is not accessible.

Hi yardiman,

If the device has been rebooted, it will take a few minutes to restore the web portal access and related service.

The issue I'm having is that after the device is rebooted, I can access it after about 5-10 min, however if i try to access about and hour or 2 later i get this message.

I've just attached a monitor to the pc and its displaying these errors

Looks very like a faulty or incorrectly formatted disk.

It seems to be an issue with a SWAP partition or formatting.

All steps were followed as per the links you provided, the issue still persists.

Now the page is blank when i attempt to access web admin see attached.

If the device is accessible over SSH, please share the output of the below commands.

console> system diagnostics show sysmsg

console> system diagnostics show syslog lines 1000

1) What is Size of Hard disk, processor and RAM?

2) Is there any user in-network or device is acting as standalone at the time of issue

3) service -S output from Shell

4) TCPDUMP at the time of accessing on HTTPS Port or IP

5) The output of ls -lah /var/cores from the shell

1. 60GB Crucial SSD. Intel Pentium D 820 Processor (2.8-GHz, 2x1-MB L2 cache, 800-MHz FSB)

2. Stand alone
