Sophos APX Access Point management | troubleshooting t XG Firewall if the APX AP is not detected by the Firewall and the Trial for the Cloud WiFi Management is already expired ??!!

How to manage the new Sophos APX Access Point through the  XG Firewall if the new APX is not detected by the XG and the Trial for the Cloud WiFi Management is expired ??!! 

Unable to see in the cloud the situation for these APX missing from the XG console!

 

The update of the firmware for the APX need to be approved by the Cloud Console to be applied on the hardware.

 

Dear Sophos, I need to distribute between branches many of new APX and this is the current situation. Some are not detected needing new firmware

but the new firmware is like need the registration on the Cloud to be validated!

On some APX we already applied the new firmware update but after moving to the XG in our branches they are not detected by the XG Console

 

Why dnt give for the XG Firewall Registered Owners minimal functionality for the APX management as only Apply Firmware or Asset List ?  Think about please!

    Have you applied the pattern updates on the XG firewall?

    Click on Backup and Firmware, then select Pattern Updates. Install the latest pattern updates.

    I had the same issue and had to update the pattern update from  before the APX models were detected on the XG firewall.

     

    Where is the firewall located at the HQ or at the branches?

  • Should be resolved. 

    Of course you need to update your XG Firmware to the latest. Or XG will not find the APX as a valid option.
