Netflix FQDN Firewall FAQ solution doesn't work

I am at least the 2nd person to report this, using the kb  v17 solution does not work. If I disable HTTP scanning on default lan to wan, it works right away. Settings are pretty much out of the box except for the netflix rule and enabling advanced threat protection. 

I followed the v16 solution, though it seemed very odd that I could only enter each line one at a time in the list of exceptions. This older solution worked, so I am wondering what is the problem?

  • I've had similar issues, and discovered that it's down to your ISP having a "cache" of Netflix at their HQ with the Netflix OpenConnect.

     

    Some ISPs don't list this as coming from *.netflix.com but from the ISP themselves.
