XG330 Blocking Ninite Updates

Hi Guys,

Since installing my XG's around the country a few weeks ago my woes have been constant with the boxes doing stuff they have been told not to do and vice-versa, blocking stuff they have been told not to block.

But, we use Ninite to patch our PC's nationwide and noticed that the XG is blocking FoxIT reader but no others that i notice.

What's the best practice in the XG to allow these updates via the firewall or does anyone have a list of exclusions i can apply?

You can gather all the URLs related to update and allow them in web filter policy applied as keyword/domain.

To allow them for all you may create FQDN host-based firewall rule and position the rule on top. Please refer to the article for FQDN host- https://community.sophos.com/kb/en-us/123035.

NOTE: DNS configuration should be the same in the user system and firewall.
