Just spent several days trying to determine why my direct access remote clients could no longer connect. Turns out it was because of the IPS rule applied to that firewall policy (for redirecting the IP and port in firewall rules). (default LAN TO WAN), or wan to lan or whatever...
Anyways i removed the intrusion prevention policy and instantly everything worked. Lesson is to ALWAYS check the firewall first before anything else as its most likely silently changed something on you. In this case i think it occurred when i updated the firewall to firmware version SFOS 17.5.7 MR-7 last week.
Just FYI if anyone else is pulling out their hair over this.
