Microsoft BITS via Sophos XG proxy extrem slow

Hi,

our Microsoft team get in touch with us because they noticed that the download ob updates via MS BITS on all clients, using XG as a proxy, is extremely slow ~18kbits.
So I checked every KB article from MS, checked postings in the Sophos community.

Also the exceptions are already in place.

I don't know where is the problem.

If the clients are connected via NAT over the XG (no proxy service), it works great. Fast download, everything okay.

I thought it would have something to do with the small packets the BITS download manager is catching from MS.

Any suggestion welcome :)

I am sorry for the inconvenience caused. I would request you to bypass the URLs related Microsoft BITS from HTTPS scanning and Anti-Virus scanning. Provided article will help you to understand.

Hi,

I checked these KBs and followed the steps, but with it still downloads at ~ 17kbits.

Just outta curiosity, if you go in log viewer and look at a target computer you know if downloading something from Microsoft is there a ton of traffic being denied from akami technologies urls?
