Odd behaviour of classification process

Hi,

I use an application on my iPad to listen to web radio broadcasts, radio.net. This is sourced from a German site.

The application is reported as a control etc and gets blocked when trying to download, install and run.

If I test there site with the url tester it reports out correctly.

I have created a firewall rule to allow the port the application uses out from a specific group of devices to the server at eno.emit.com which reports in the url tester a general business.

If I don't have the firewall rule allowing the port 8000 access to the site connections fail, blocked by ATP.

Something wrong somewhere?

Ian

Digging deeper the site radiobeta.net is in the reports as being control etc, but the only site access is to radio.net. The application in the Apple App store is radio.net.

I have asked the developers about the various versions that seem to download.

  • Hi

I would request you to capture .HAR file, please follow the given steps and provide us .HAR file to analyze.

The HTTP Archive format, or HAR, is a JSON-formatted archive file format for logging of a web browser's interaction with a site. The common extension for these files is .har.

To generate the HAR file for Chrome

    1. Open Google Chrome and go to the page where the issue is occurring.
    2. From the Chrome menu bar select More Tools > Developer Tools.
    3. From the panel opened at the bottom of your screen, select the Network tab.
    4. Look for a round Record button (  ) in the upper left corner of the Network tab, and make sure it is red. If it is grey, click it once to start recording.
    5. Check the box next to Preserve log.
    6. Click the Clear button (  ) to clear out any existing logs from the Network tab.
    7. Now try to reproduce the issue that you were experiencing before, while the network requests are being recorded.
    8. Once you have reproduced the issue, right-click anywhere on the grid of network requests, select Save as HAR with Content, and save the file to your computer.

We can use HAR analyzer to analyze the captured file, it will provide output as shown in the attached screenshot.
