Dear all,

Updated firmware two days ago and now that :( firewall died. Only able to acces it via console

Seems to be a filesystem Mount error. Already checked wires but looks fine.

Any advice?  Thanks

  • I'm afraid you are stuck with no other option then call Sophos.  That looks like another drive corruption.

I bought a brand new XG210 appliances + 3 years service for $300 on EBay last month in an attempt to prevent being without firewall for days.  It took Sophos a full working week to ship me a replacement appliance.

  • If it was just a corrupted drive, USB reinstall and apply backup file?

It's definitely not a disk failure and I don't know how it is in America but shouldn't you be getting next day RMA replacement, what happened there?

I don't think you need to RMA here, you should get the latest backup file you have, build an install USB using the HW ISO and apply the backup file as it could be a corruption entered during the update process.

Definitely not an RMA worthy thing though.
