blocking youtube app on IOS

my 0.02 for a workaround.

would be a bit tedious but might work.

create a separate firewall rule to those who are generally blocked in accessing YT. 

then create a mac-based FW allowing those specific IOS and Android devices to access YT. 

-Could be vice-versa, whichever seems convenient. 

Maybe some peeps here in the community could share some of their insights as well.

This does not work as in it will not block IOS app.  Not sure if its related to this option as i don't see it in MR6

1. Enable Micro App Discovery.

I did find another post mention to block QUIC too which blocks the app although not sure what else would be impacted.

do you have https scanning enabled, installed CA on your IoS devices, have web and application policies in place?

QUIC is a Google attempt to bypass inspection and in theory improve browser performance.

No https scanning enabled or installed CA.  Web and application policies in place.

This is a customer looking to move away from UTM and this is the observations.

I will be looking to install XG in next few days to test as currently i am running UTM.

You will need to install the CA and use https scanning otherwise you will not succeed.
