Certificate Generation

Hi All

We are newbies to the Sophos XG range and are trying to generate a CSR for a wildcard cert to secure both the user portal, admin portal and webservers within the XG. I am a little confused as to what option to use in the CSR generation such as DNS, IP address, Email, DER. We have purchased a wildcard Certificate from Go Daddy and normally when we create a wildcard cert we would generate the request with a *.domain.com however this comes back as "You must enter a valid ID value" I have presumed the selection that i need is DNS but i have tried all options that are available. HELP ;)
